Berthillon at a glance

Where to buy a Berthillon ice cream

The shop on rue Saint-Louis-en-l'Île is the original and best-known address, but the ice creams are also served in several cafés and restaurants on the island. If the queue outside the shop is too long, a neighbouring café that serves the brand is a good solution: ask for the menu before sitting down.

Avoiding the queue

The queue is shorter on weekdays, in the early afternoon and outside the fine-weather months. A summer Sunday afternoon is the busiest time. If you come with children, keep the ice cream for the end of your walk around the island, when everyone has walked enough.

What to see nearby

The shop is in the middle of the island: see our Île Saint-Louis page and the complete Île Saint-Louis guide. The walk continues to the Île de la Cité (see Île de la Cité and Île Saint-Louis) and the neighbouring Marais, with a food tour of the district if you like to taste several addresses.
