The Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe

It is the biggest flat race of the season, run at ParisLongchamp in October over a two-day weekend. In 2026 the main race took place on Sunday 4 October. The date of the next edition was not published on 29 October 2026: watch the France Galop site. Prices are dynamic and rise as the event approaches.

What to wear

There is no strict dress code in the public stands; smart clothes are the norm, and hospitality areas may ask for more, so read your ticket conditions. Bring comfortable shoes for walking around the site.

Getting there

For Auteuil, take metro line 10 to Porte d'Auteuil. For ParisLongchamp and Vincennes, check the transport route on the racecourse site on the day of the meeting, because bus and shuttle lines change. See metro and RER in Paris.

A Parisian evening after the races

To extend the day, a dinner show such as the Moulin Rouge with champagne is a classic; see also cabaret: Moulin Rouge, Lido, Crazy Horse.

Betting on races is for adults only; this guide does not encourage it. If it becomes a problem, call Joueurs Info Service: 09 74 75 13 13.
