Musée des Moulages, Hôpital Saint-Louis: Visits by Appointment and Access

Updated on October 30, 2026

The Musée des Moulages, inside the Hôpital Saint-Louis (10th arrondissement), keeps 4,952 wax casts of skin diseases, made from 1867 onwards. It is open Monday to Friday, 9:00 to 16:30, by appointment only, and visitors must be over 12. It is a strange, one-of-a-kind place in Paris, but skip it if medical images make you uneasy.

Practical info

Tips

  • Visits are by appointment only, by e-mail (musee.moulages.sls@aphp.fr), by phone (+33 1 42 49 49 86) or through the online booking form on the museum's page. Visitors must be over 12, as some pieces can be shocking. The official page publishes no public ticket price (free for AP-HP staff with their professional card), so ask for the price when you book. European Heritage Days have also offered free visits.
