Provins: UNESCO Medieval Town, Ramparts, Shows and Getting There from Paris
Provins, in Seine-et-Marne, is a medieval town on the UNESCO World Heritage list since 2001. It is reached by train from Paris-Gare de l'Est (Transilien line P) in a little over an hour. You can visit the César Tower, the Tithe Barn and the underground galleries, walk along the ramparts and, in season, watch the equestrian falconry show "Les Aigles des Remparts". One day is enough to see it all.
