The three ways to reach Paris from Beauvais
The official Aérobus shuttle. Run by the Aérobus company in partnership with the airport operator (the Société aéroportuaire de gestion et d'exploitation de Beauvais, SAGEB), this is the most widely used option. There are two lines: line A01 to Paris Porte Maillot (17th arrondissement), the most frequent, and line A04 to Paris La Villette (19th arrondissement), with a more limited number of departures and compulsory booking. Porte Maillot therefore remains the main arrival point, as in older guides, but a second line to La Villette now exists alongside it.
The train (TER) + local bus. There is no railway station at the airport itself. You first have to reach Beauvais SNCF station by local bus (line 6 of the Corolis network, "Hôtel de Ville - Tillé Aéroport", about 15-20 minutes), then take a TER Hauts-de-France train to Paris Gare du Nord (about 1h15). This option involves two changes but costs considerably less if you buy your tickets in advance.
Private transfer. A taxi or chauffeur-driven car, to be booked in advance or negotiated on the spot. The journey takes about 1h to 1h30 depending on traffic, at a price well above the two previous options, but with the advantage of immediate departure and door-to-door service, useful late at night or with a lot of luggage.

Late arrivals: what you need to know
Many low-cost flights to Beauvais land in the evening, or even after midnight in the event of delays. Good news: according to the airport operator, the Aérobus shuttles wait for the last flights of the day, even when they are delayed, with a departure scheduled about 20 minutes after landing. The last regular shuttle departure from the airport is around 11.30pm, but this is worth reconfirming case by case if your flight is running very late, as actual times depend on coordination with the day's flights. The train, on the other hand, offers no such flexibility: beyond the last TER services of the evening, only a private transfer or a night on site (hotels near the airport) remains an option.
The return journey, to the airport
For a flight departing from Beauvais, plan to take the Aérobus shuttle at least 3h30 before your flight's departure time from Porte Maillot (3h from La Villette), so as to leave a margin for check-in and security screening — the airport recommends this lead time because of its modest size but queues that can lengthen at the busiest times for low-cost airlines. The first shuttle departure from Porte Maillot is around 3am, which covers even very early flights. If you travel by train, add the margin needed for the local bus connection in Beauvais (line 6, about 15-20 minutes) on top of the TER journey.
Which option to choose?
- You travel light and want the best price/simplicity compromise: the Aérobus shuttle remains the most direct option, with no changes and a central arrival point (Porte Maillot).
- You are travelling in a group or want to cut your transport budget: the train + local bus combination works out cheaper per person, especially if you book TER tickets in advance, at the cost of one extra change.
- You arrive late, with a lot of luggage, or as a family: a private transfer booked in advance secures your timing and avoids waiting, despite a considerably higher price.
