- 90 nights a year: cap for a main home rented as a tourist let, in force since 1 January 2025 according to the City of Paris (120 days remains the national limit).
- Registration number: required on every listing; without one, a platform cannot publish the ad.
- Any home that is not a main residence: tourist rental is banned without a change-of-use authorisation, to be obtained before registering.

FAQ
Is Airbnb legal in Paris?
Yes, for a registered host who respects the 90-night cap on a main home and shows the registration number. A listing without a number should not exist.
Apartment or hotel for a short stay?
For one or two nights a hotel or aparthotel is simpler (reception, luggage, cleaning). An apartment starts to make sense from four nights or for a group, for the kitchen and separate bedrooms.
