Codes: the honest answer
- No code to give you: if a public code ever appears, it will be on this page.
- Coupon sites: they mostly list expired or invented codes. Never enter your password on a "code generator".
- Automatic discount: any discount (Genius, limited offer) appears in the property's price before you book.
Six real ways to pay less
- Free cancellation: filter for rates cancellable at no cost, book early, then re-check the price a few weeks before. If it drops, cancel and book again.
- Genius programme: the level depends on the number of stays you have booked; it gives discounts at participating properties. Your level is shown in your account (rates to check, they change).
- Signed-in or mobile rates: some properties show a lower price to signed-in members or on the app. Compare while signed in.
- Shift your dates: trade fairs, fashion weeks and long weekends push prices up in Paris. Compare by moving a night or two.
- Flexible or non-refundable rate: the non-refundable rate is cheaper, but only for dates you are sure of.
- Area and budget: see our guides to Paris hotels by budget and where to stay in Paris on a small budget.
Check before you pay
- The final price: the tourist tax (per person per night) is sometimes paid at the hotel and added to the displayed price.
- What is included: breakfast, air conditioning, real room size.
- The conditions: cancellation deadline, online payment or on arrival.
