The offers at a glance

What you see

The museum occupies the Hôtel de la Monnaie, an 18th-century building on Quai de Conti facing the Seine. The route presents coins, medals and the crafts of minting. According to paris.fr, the foundry workshop visit is included in the entry price. A basic ticket does not always cover the temporary exhibition: read what yours says.

Hours and days

The official site shows opening from 11:00 to 18:00. According to Tiqets: Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday 11:00-18:00, Wednesday 11:00-21:00, closed Monday; last admission 30 minutes before closing. The museum closes on 1 January, 1 May and 25 December. Guides also mention free entry on the first Sunday of the month and for under-26s: confirm on the official site.

What is on in November 2026

The official site announces behind-the-scenes visits on 4 and 7 November, a "Façonne ton bestiaire" workshop on 11 November and the exhibition "Fragonard, 100 ans de collections et de savoir-faire" from 13 November to 10 January.

Official ticket or Tiqets?

The official ticket gives access to reduced rates and free entry with proof. The Tiqets ticket suits you if you want to book your day online in one go, but it is not refundable: pick your date carefully.
