On the Quai de Conti, the Monnaie de Paris combines a museum with the workshops of a working mint. Its displays explore metalworking, coins and manufacturing techniques. You can combine a visit with a walk along the Left Bank in the 6th arrondissement.

Museum admission costs €12, or €8 at the reduced rate; under-26s and all visitors on the first Sunday of the month enter free (prices checked in September 2026). Bring proof of eligibility for discounts and free admission. Have a €1 coin or token ready for the lockers.

How to get there

Metro Pont Neuf (line 7), Odéon (lines 4 and 10) or Saint-Michel (line 4); RER B and C Saint-Michel Notre-Dame. Buses 27, 58, 70 and 87 at Pont Neuf stops. 11 quai de Conti, 75006 Paris.
