Three ways to taste
| Option | Where | Price read |
|---|---|---|
| Tasting at a champagne bar | Dokhan's, 117 rue Lauriston (16th), Boissière metro | about 44 euros with a tasting plate (reseller); older listings give 28, 30 and 54 euros |
| Taittinger pairing dinner | Le Cordon Bleu, Hôtel de la Marine | price on the school's website |
| Day in Champagne from Paris | cellars in Reims and Épernay | about 501 dollars per adult with transport (reseller) |
The Dokhan's Champagne Bar
The bar is inside the Le Dokhan's hotel, near the Arc de Triomphe. The hotel advertises a list of 130 wines chosen by its head sommelier; other sources say anything from 60 to over 200 references, depending on the page. The figure varies, so rely on the menu. A deals site says booking is compulsory.
A day in Champagne
To visit the cellars, Reims and Épernay are about an hour from Paris. Our comparison champagne from Paris: which excursion details the formats, from small-group outings to private days.
Practical tips
- Taste in moderation and do not drive afterwards: the Champagne day is done by minibus or train.
- Check what the price includes: number of glasses, plate, cellar visit.
- For a more affordable evening, a wine bar is enough: see our wine bars in Paris or the wine tasting with a sommelier.
