Municipal pools: prices and rules

The City of Paris pools generally apply the same price grid. Figures read on 30 October 2026 on the Château-Landon pool page (paris.fr):

Ticket Full price Reduced
Single entry 3.50 € 2.00 €
10-entry card 28 € 16 €
3-month pass 43 € 22 €
  • Swim cap compulsory, beach shorts not allowed: bring close-fitting swimwear (trunks or a one-piece). The rule is on the Château-Landon page; check the page of the pool you plan to visit.
  • Last swimmers are admitted 45 minutes before closing and the pool is cleared 30 minutes before.
  • Hours change between term time and school holidays. Example, Château-Landon (31 rue du Château-Landon, 10th): from 19 October to 1 November 2026, Friday 7:00-20:30, Saturday and Sunday 9:00-20:30; the page gives no Monday to Thursday hours for these holidays.
  • Some historic pools (Pontoise, Joséphine Baker, among others) may have different prices according to a 2024 guide: not confirmed today, so check each pool's page on paris.fr.

Open-air or retractable-roof pools

According to the Sortir à Paris guide updated on 7 August 2026, several pools have an outdoor basin or a roof that opens in fine weather: Roger Le Gall (12th), Keller (15th), Georges Hermant (19th, near Buttes-Chaumont, retractable roof), Auteuil (16th) and the Joséphine Baker floating pool on the Seine (13th). The guide gives no prices or hours and advises calling first, as outdoor basins close depending on season and weather: we have not confirmed winter opening.

Private options: the Molitor hotel pool (16th) and the open-air Olympic pool on the roof of the Annette K. barge, described as open all year by a leisure guide; we did not confirm their prices. For river swimming, see swimming in the Seine.

Staying with a pool

If you want to swim without leaving your hotel, most Paris hotel pools are indoors and for guests only: see our pick of hotels with a pool in Paris.
