Common venues
- Bir-Hakeim bridge, Trocadéro, Tuileries garden: a short ceremony with the Eiffel Tower or the Louvre behind you, often combined with a photo session.
- Pavilions and estates: booking required, ask each venue for capacity and prices.
- Private Seine cruise: see the Seine cruise.
In public space, some sessions or set-ups need a permit from the City: ask before bringing an arch, chairs or music.
Photographer and budget
Book the photographer several months ahead in high season (April to September). The budget depends on guests, venue and duration: always ask for a written quote. For a proposal before the wedding, see marriage proposal in Paris.
Tips
Plan a rain backup, comfortable shoes for the cobbles and a one-hour margin between the ceremony and sunset photos.
