The Palais de Tokyo

The Palais de Tokyo

Built in 1937, the Palais de Tokyo is one of the largest centers for contemporary art in Europe. Open from noon to midnight, it's a great place to enjoy the contemporary artworks in near-solitude from 9pm onward. There are also workshops for children at the Little Palais.

Perched on the Chaillot hill, the Palais de Chaillot was built in 1937 and consists of two pavilions separated by an esplanade where the Trocadéro gardens are located. Its terrace offers an exceptional view of the Eiffel Tower and the Champ de Mars. Not to be missed under any circumstances.

From here, Gustave Eiffel's tower is seen from one of its best angles, just as striking by day as by night, and lit up with sparkling lights during the end-of-year festivities. Head up to the 3rd floor for a 360-degree panoramic view — the wait can be long, but it's worth it.
