Fête de l'Humanité: dates, tickets and getting to Brétigny-sur-Orge
The Fête de l'Humanité is a large popular, cultural and political gathering held every September by the newspaper L'Humanité, with concerts, debates and stands run by associations and activist groups. Since 2022 it has taken place on the former air base 217, between Brétigny-sur-Orge and Le Plessis-Pâté (Essonne), south of Paris. The latest edition ran from 11 to 13 September 2026; the 2027 dates have not been announced yet.

The dates
The festival is usually held in September over three days from Friday to Sunday: 11 to 13 September in 2026. The 2027 dates will be published on the official website.

The concerts
The music programme is one of the highlights: in 2026 it included Louane, Soprano, Superbus, UB40 and Gauvain Sers. The 2027 line-up is not known yet.

Stands and debates
Stands from federations and associations, debate spaces and food areas fill the site, which is spread over the former air base.

Prices recorded for the 2026 edition (2027 prices are not published): 3-day pass from €55 to €70 depending on the sales tier, €6 for ages 12-15, a symbolic price for ages 0-11. How to get there
Base 217, Le Plessis-Pâté / Brétigny-sur-Orge (Essonne). Take RER C to Brétigny-sur-Orge station, then the shuttles run by the organisers. Parking is provided for drivers, but traffic around the site is difficult.
