Les Halles de Paris is a vast complex made up of a green space (the Jardins des Halles) and an underground shopping center (the Forum des Halles). Located in the heart of Paris, in the 1st arrondissement, this central hub of Parisian life also has areas devoted to leisure, including a cinema and a swimming pool.
Highlights
The shops
The Forum des Halles offers a huge variety of shops. Around 150 fashion, cosmetics, electronics, and food brands share some 150,000 visitors a day. The shopping center welcomes nearly 37 million visitors every year.
The restaurants
There's a wide range of restaurants to choose from. Quick-bite spots are located on level -3, in the Place Carrée area. The contemporary brasseries (ZA or Champeaux) are located outdoors (level 0) on the Canopée.
The cinema
Shopping isn't the only thing on offer at Châtelet-Les Halles. Leisure and relaxation are also part of the experience, thanks to UGC Les Halles (level -3). Open until 11pm, the UGC cinemas screen both arthouse films and major blockbusters all year round. It's the most-visited cinema in Europe.
