Lafayette Anticipations, the corporate foundation of Galeries Lafayette, presents contemporary art at 9 rue du Plâtre (4th arrondissement), in a building by Rem Koolhaas and his firm OMA that opened to the public in March 2018. You come for the exhibitions, concerts and performances in the heart of the Marais. Admission to the exhibitions is free.

This modular building fills a block between rue du Plâtre and rue Sainte-Croix-de-la-Bretonnerie. All the exhibition spaces are served by lift.

Two new exhibitions open on 21 October 2026: Yu Nishimura's "Towards a Sea" and Hélène Fauquet's "Vivresse", with free admission.

Tips

Exhibitions, individual visits, workshops and family activities are free; concerts and performances cost €12 (price seen in October 2026). Free lockers are available on the ground floor, but bags, suitcases and bulky items are not allowed inside. A bookshop and the café-restaurant pluto are on site. To extend your outing, the Marais and the Centre Pompidou are a few minutes' walk away.

How to get there

9 rue du Plâtre, 75004 Paris. Metro Rambuteau (line 11), Hôtel de Ville (lines 1 and 11) or Châtelet - Les Halles (lines 4, 7, 11, 14 and RER A, B, D). Buses 29 and 75 (Archives - Rambuteau stop), 38, 47 and 75 (Centre Georges Pompidou), 67, 69, 76 and 96 (Hôtel de Ville). Priority entrance for visitors with reduced mobility at 9 rue du Plâtre.
