Printemps Haussmann: department store, dome, rooftop terrace and hours
Printemps Haussmann, the department store at 64 boulevard Haussmann (9th), combines fashion, luxury and beauty, a glass dome and a terrace overlooking Paris. It is open Monday to Saturday from 10am to 8pm and on Sundays from 11am to 8pm, with free entry. Founded in 1865, it occupies three neighboring buildings: Printemps de la Femme, Printemps de l'Homme and Printemps Beauté-Maison-Enfant. Highlights
The dome and the Bleu Coupole restaurant
On the 6th floor of Printemps de la Femme, the Bleu Coupole restaurant sits beneath the store's great glass dome. Even if you don't eat there, the stained-glass canopy is worth the detour.
The 7th-floor panoramic terrace
On the 7th floor of Printemps de la Femme, the terrace looks out over the rooftops of Paris, from the Opéra Garnier to the Eiffel Tower and the Panthéon. The food and drink on offer on the terrace changes with the seasons.
7ème Ciel and the Binet dome
The 7th floor of Printemps de la Femme houses a 1,300 m² space devoted to circular fashion and second-hand, beneath the Binet dome, built in 1910 at the same time as its twin, the Charasse dome.
The Perruche rooftop
On the 9th floor of Printemps de l'Homme, the Perruche restaurant and bar occupies a planted rooftop terrace of more than 500 m², with 360° views over Paris.
The facades and the three stores
The corner facades on boulevard Haussmann bear their domes and the "Au Printemps" inscription. Women's fashion, luxury and accessories are in Printemps de la Femme, men's fashion in Printemps de l'Homme, and beauty, home and children in the third building.
Tax-free shopping
Visitors who live outside the European Union can reclaim part of the VAT on purchases of €100 or more; the store advertises a 12% refund. The tax refund desk is on level -1 of Printemps de la Femme: show your passport when you pay.
