In the Marais, the European House of Photography presents exhibitions of photography and video. The MEP occupies Hôtel Hénault, an eighteenth-century building near Saint-Paul. The main exhibitions in the Galeries are complemented by the Studio, dedicated to emerging artists. Closed between exhibition seasons as of 29 September 2026, it announces reopening on 30 September 2026.

The Galeries occupy the second and third floors, while the Studio is on the first. Check both programmes to discover different approaches to photography; the photograph shows the building’s historic façade.
Hôtel Hénault
The historic building has housed the MEP since its opening in 1996. From rue François-Miron, look at the balcony’s ironwork and the façade’s carved decoration; the visitor entrance is on rue de Fourcy.

Book online for your chosen exhibition. Admission costs €13 at the ticket desk or €14 online, with reduced tickets at €8 or €9 respectively; children aged 12 and under enter free (prices checked in September 2026). Avoid bringing a suitcase, as they are not allowed.
