Versailles Musical Fountains Show (Grandes Eaux Musicales): Dates, Times, Price and Tips
The Grandes Eaux Musicales are a fountain show in the gardens of the Château de Versailles, set to baroque music and held from April to early November: in 2026, from early April to 1 November, on Saturdays, Sundays and some public holidays (a few Tuesdays according to the calendar). The 2026 season is therefore ending; 2027 dates are not yet published. The ticket is sold separately from the château visit and its price should be checked on the official ticket office before you buy.
Highlights

The Neptune Fountain
The grand finale of the show: all the fountains in the basin spring up at once. Arrive early to find a spot at the water's edge.

The Grand Canal and the gardens
Between two fountains, enjoy the French formal gardens designed by Le Nôtre; the Grand Canal stretches east of the park. Walking from one end to the other takes a good hour.
The groves and baroque music
The fountains run to music from the time of Louis XIV, played in the groves. The route follows the basins in the order of the official course.

Tips
- Buy your ticket online in advance; access to the gardens on show days is paid. Sources give very different prices (from €8.50 to €27 depending on the ticket): only trust the official ticket office, chateauversailles-spectacles.fr. Plan half a day, comfortable shoes and water. To see the château too, choose a ticket that includes both or come early. The château is closed on Mondays; the gardens are very busy in summer.
How to get there
RER C to Versailles Château – Rive Gauche (about 40 minutes from central Paris), then a 10-minute walk. Address: place d'Armes, 78000 Versailles. See also our Château de Versailles page.
