The Château de Malmaison, in Rueil-Malmaison (Hauts-de-Seine), was the residence of Napoleon Bonaparte and Josephine. It is open every day except Tuesday and admission costs €8. To get there, take the RER A to Rueil-Malmaison, then bus 258. A good half-day trip west of Paris.
