Choosing for your profile
With children or for a first workshop: Choco-Story, short and playful, with decorating and chocolate to take home. To learn a real technique: a 2h30 or 3h workshop at Cordon Bleu or in a school. For a gift between adults, the 14th-arrondissement workshop is the cheapest of the long ones. To save money, the one-hour $35 workshop works, but it has only a few reviews and one traveller found the tasting too short (three chocolates).
Good to know before booking
Choco-Story: arrive at least 15 minutes before the start, latecomers are refused, and tickets are non-refundable. Travellers like the instructors, the decorating and the chocolate taken home, but some regret that the workshop is mostly decorating rather than making. Check the minimum ages and cancellation terms of each workshop.
Going further
The museum itself is visited with a separate ticket: see the Chocolate Museum page. If you like pastry, also see our macaron and croissant classes and the Salon du Chocolat if you come in late October or early November.
