The comparison at a glance

Bateaux Parisiens, our first choice

This is the best-rated New Year's Eve listing on GetYourGuide: 4.7 out of 5 from 16 reviews. Travellers praise the staff and the evening; one review finds the whole thing very expensive and another says the menu did not quite match the description. The boat leaves from the foot of the Eiffel Tower. See the offer.

The premium option: a window seat at the front

On the official Bateaux Parisiens site, 31 December is sold in four packages: Élégance (9 pm, centre of the boat) at €495, Privilège (9 pm, window side) at €620, Premier (9 pm, at the front) at €720 and Premier Baie Vitrée (8:30 pm, window seat at the front) at €770. All include welcome champagne, a multi-course menu (appetiser, starter, two main dishes, cheese, dessert) and an orchestra. The site says the menu is indicative. Reconfirm these prices and packages on bateauxparisiens.com before choosing: they may have changed and some packages are sold out.

Bateaux-Mouches and Yachts de Paris

Bateaux-Mouches offers a dinner with a singer and orchestra, boarding at 8:30 pm and return at 2 am, for about €460 through a reseller. Yachts de Paris sells its Excellence for about €599: boarding at 8 pm at Port Henri IV, sailing at 9:30 pm, gourmet dinner and a dance party with a DJ; the menu shown was still the 2025 one, and the 2026 menu was due in November. Reconfirm prices with the companies.

What you see (and don't) at midnight

There are no fireworks at the Eiffel Tower on 31 December, as our article on New Year in Paris explains. The fireworks, when there are any, are fired on the Champs-Élysées, far from the Seine. On the Extime Travel listing, one traveller says the cruise ended around midnight, with disembarkation and no fireworks or light show visible: check what time the boat is back at the quay and whether it is sailing at midnight. On board with Bateaux Parisiens, the dinner, the music and the lit-up monuments make the evening.

Pitfalls

  • These packages are whole evenings. Departure around 8:30 or 9 pm, return around 2 am for the longest: plan your way home.
  • Dress code. The official site asks for smart dress at the 8:30 pm dinner: jeans, trainers, Bermuda shorts and caps are refused.
  • Cancellation. Several New Year's Eve evenings are non-refundable; read the listing.
  • The menu. It is indicative; one review mentions a gap with the description.
  • Resellers. The same boat is sold at different prices: compare with the company's own site.
  • Few reviews. Only 16 reviews for the top listing: little track record.

Which one to choose?

  • First time, no hassle: Bateaux Parisiens, leaving from the Eiffel Tower.
  • A treat: the window seat at the front (€770 on the official site).
  • Dance until the end: Yachts de Paris, with a DJ.
  • A long evening with an orchestra: Bateaux-Mouches, back at 2 am.
  • A simpler evening: a regular dinner cruise, not New Year's Eve, compared in our dinner cruise comparison.
