Grande Galerie de l'Évolution in Paris: Prices, Hours, Skip-the-Line Ticket and What to See
The Grande Galerie de l'Évolution, in the Jardin des Plantes (5th arr.), is open daily from 10:00 to 18:00 except Tuesday, 1 January, 1 May and 25 December; the ticket office closes about 45 minutes before. The full price for the permanent collection is about 10 to 13 euros depending on the source and the period, higher with a temporary exhibition (11 to 14 euros). Allow 1.5 to 2 hours for the great hall and its four floors of stuffed animals; a skip-the-line ticket is available through a partner.
Highlights

The gallery facade
The glass-and-metal building opened in 1889 and was renovated in 1994; it stands facing the gardens.

The parade of animals
In the middle of the hall, the great "procession" of stuffed animals crosses the nave: elephants, giraffes, rhinoceroses and antelopes, in motion.

The floors
The four levels present biodiversity, the disappearance of species, marine animals and life in the main habitats.
