Musée d'Art Moderne de Paris: Free Collection, Exhibitions, Opening Hours and Access
The Musée d'Art Moderne de Paris, or MAM, occupies the east wing of the Palais de Tokyo, at 11 avenue du Président-Wilson, facing the Seine and the Eiffel Tower. It holds nearly 15,000 works from the 20th and 21st centuries, and its permanent collection is free. It also stages major temporary exhibitions, for which tickets are charged. For the full route, see our visitor guide.
Highlights

The 1937 palace
The building dates from the 1937 International Exhibition. The east wing belongs to the City of Paris and has housed the museum since 1961; the west wing hosts the Palais de Tokyo, devoted to contemporary creation.

Raoul Dufy's La Fée Électricité
Painted in 1937, this fresco of 250 panels measures about 10 m high by 60 m long. It tells the story of electricity in a room devoted entirely to it.

The forecourt and terrace
Between the two wings, the colonnaded forecourt and its pool offer a clear view of the Eiffel Tower, with no ticket needed.
