Bourdelle Museum

Near Montparnasse, the Bourdelle Museum occupies the premises where sculptor Antoine Bourdelle worked for over forty years. Bronzes, plaster casts and drawings trace the creation of his figures and monuments. Preserved studios and two sculpture gardens give the visit the setting of an artist’s home in the fifteenth arrondissement.

This preserved space contains sculptures, furniture and traces of Bourdelle’s work. Look at works at different stages of development to understand the transition from study to monument.

The sculpture gardens

Two gardens extend the route outdoors. View the bronzes from several angles and compare their volumes with the works displayed in the rooms.

Tips

The permanent collections are free and require no booking. Exhibitions cost €12, or €10 reduced, and are free for under-18s (prices checked in September 2026). During reception works, enter at 16 rue Antoine-Bourdelle through the green gate. Suitcases are not accepted, even in the cloakroom.
