Paris Half Marathon 2027: Date, Registration, Price and Where to Cheer
The Paris half marathon (21.1 km) takes place on Sunday 7 March 2027, a month before the marathon (4 April 2027). Registration now works by lottery: the free pre-registration ran from 8 to 30 September 2026 and results were announced on 1 October. A bib costs 79 euros (25 euros from a limited pool of 1,000 bibs reserved for certain groups, under conditions). The 2027 route had not been revealed by late October 2026; it is due in early 2027. About 48,000 runners started in 2026, a record.
Highlights

The start atmosphere
Tens of thousands of runners set off in waves: even as a spectator, the mass start is impressive. Starts are staggered by target time.

Cheering along the course
The route changes from one edition to the next to show different districts: wait for the official map before choosing a viewing spot near a metro station.
Half or full marathon?
The half draws a wider crowd and takes place earlier in the year; for the full marathon and its route, see our Paris marathon page.

Tips
- Without a bib (the lottery is over) you can still be a spectator: access to the course is free. The streets on the route are closed to traffic for several hours, so use the metro or a bike that day and avoid taxis and cars. Check the organiser's official website (Cadence Running United) for any remaining places, bib resale rules and the final map. Book accommodation early: race weekend is in high demand (see where to stay in Paris). March is cool: bring a warm layer for waiting at the roadside.
How to get there
The start and finish location had not been published for 2027; check the official map, pick the metro station nearest your viewing spot, and walk there before the streets close.
