Paris has 59 bus lines, each identified by a number and a destination shown on the front of the vehicle. It's a good option for anyone with reduced mobility, and a pleasant way to see the city above ground rather than underground. The network reaches most major sights with easy connections to the metro, though service is reduced on Sundays and public holidays.
The Noctilien
RATP's night bus service runs roughly from 12:30 am to 5:30 am, on the same tickets as the rest of the network, for trips once the metro has closed.
Airport shuttles
The Orlybus and Roissybus connect central Paris directly to Orly and Roissy-Charles-de-Gaulle airports. Check the current fare before you go, as it changes from time to time.
The Montmartrobus
This RATP tourist line, run with electric buses, winds through the narrow streets of Montmartre. A regular ticket is all you need.
Tips
A single ticket doesn't let you combine a metro ride with a bus ride (or the other way around): the two networks are validated separately, worth keeping in mind if your route uses both.
