LGBTQIA+ Pride March — Saturday 3 October
Top of the list this week: the Paris/Île-de-France Pride March, originally scheduled for 27 June 2026, had been cancelled because of a heatwave. It has been officially rescheduled for Saturday 3 October 2026. It sets off at 1.30pm from place d'Italie (13th), with a route running along the avenue des Gobelins, the boulevard Saint-Germain and the pont de Sully to the place de la République, where a free musical "Grand Podium" runs from 4pm to 10pm. Open to all and free of charge.
The musée Carnavalet celebrates its 160th anniversary — Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 October
The oldest museum in Paris is holding a festive, entirely free weekend for its 160th anniversary. On the Saturday programme: "Paris-ci, par-là" guided tours (10am-11am and 2pm-3pm), an "Unusual objects" tour (11.30am-12.30pm and 4.30pm-5.30pm), a creative workshop (3pm-5pm), then a late-night "Rêver Paris" opening from 6pm (immersive game, concert, drag and DJ set). On Sunday, the focus turns to tours on the theme of divination, a "Paris Queer" tour (2pm-3pm and 3.30pm-4.30pm) and a drag bingo (12.30pm-2pm). Address: 23 rue de Sévigné, 75003 Paris. Free, subject to availability for the hosted activities.
Fête de la Science at the Cité des sciences et de l'industrie — Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 October
The Cité des sciences opens its doors free of charge for the Fête de la Science: workshops, meetings with researchers and activities on climate, astronomy and biology. Hours: Saturday 10am-6pm, Sunday 10am-7pm. Address: 30 avenue Corentin-Cariou, 75019 Paris. Free for all ages; some limited-capacity activities require registration on site or online.
Village Botanique at the Parc Floral de Paris — Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 October
A nature get-together with guided tours, talks, workshops (terrariums, miniature ponds, peony grafting) and activities for children. Hours: 10am-6pm both days. Venue: Parc Floral de Paris, Bois de Vincennes, 75012 Paris. Free entry.
Street League Skateboarding — Saturday 3 October
For fans of spectator sport: a stop on the world street skateboarding tour comes to the Suzanne-Lenglen court at the Roland-Garros stadium, with the best international and French riders. Saturday 3 October, from 12pm to 10pm. Address: 1 place de la Porte d'Auteuil, 75016 Paris. Tickets from €50, online booking only — no seats guaranteed on the door.
Paris Sausage Walk — Sunday 4 October
An unmissable date for dachshund lovers: a canine parade on the Champs-Élysées, between the top of the avenue and the Rond-Point. Sunday 4 October, from 11am to 1pm (participants welcomed from 10am). 8th arrondissement. Free, no booking needed for spectators.
Free museums on the first Sunday of the month — Sunday 4 October
Sunday 4 October is the first Sunday of the month: several Paris museums offer free access to their permanent collections, notably the musée Picasso (free, no booking needed) and the musée Rodin (free only from October to March, on the first Sunday of those months). Other institutions take part with compulsory booking given the crowds; it is best to check availability before heading over.
