The Saint-Ouen flea market is open Friday to Monday (weekends 10am-6pm, Monday 11am-5pm, Friday 10am-1pm); metro Porte de Clignancourt. Just north of Paris, it is the largest antiques and secondhand market in the world. Founded in 1885, it is made up of several separate markets, each with its own atmosphere, ranging from 18th-century furniture to 20th-century vintage pieces. Old furniture, lighting, jewelry, clothing, and curiosities of every kind fill several hectares here, drawing professional pickers and casual browsers alike.

Marché Paul-Bert-Serpette
Known for its 20th-century furniture and art objects, this market has a more contemporary feel than the other sections and draws interior decorators and seasoned collectors in particular.

Other flea markets in Paris
To compare or add to your day, Vanves (weekend mornings) and Montreuil (Porte de Montreuil, weekends and Monday) are more down-to-earth, cheaper flea markets, and the Aligre market (Tuesday to Sunday, mornings) mixes second-hand stalls with a food market. Check days and hours before you go: they change with the season.

Tips
- The site is divided into several separate markets (Paul Bert Serpette, Dauphine, Vernaison, Biron…): get your bearings before going in so you don't end up walking in circles. On Fridays the market is only open from 10am to 1pm, so head there at the weekend or on Monday. How to get there
The "Porte de Clignancourt" metro station (line 4) is the main access point. "Garibaldi" (line 13) and "Mairie de Saint-Ouen" (line 14) are a bit further out. Bus 85 (Marché aux Puces stop) and bus 95 (Porte de Montmartre stop) serve the market; tram T3b stops at Porte de Clignancourt.
