| Spring (March to May) | Layers, jacket, light raincoat | Compact umbrella |

All year round
- Shoes: two comfortable pairs, already broken in, for 15,000 steps a day.
- Plugs: France uses 230 V with type C and E sockets; you need an adapter if you come from the UK, the US, Japan or many Asian countries.
- Bag: one that closes in front of you, because pickpockets target tourist areas.
- Documents: valid passport, travel insurance, digital copies; depending on your nationality, check the entry formalities.
- Phone: power bank, cable and an eSIM to be connected on arrival.
