France Miniature, in Élancourt, is a park of 2,000 scale models of French monuments; tickets €29 (from €22 online), opening at 10:00 and closing at 18:00 or 19:00 depending on the calendar. Half an hour from Paris and 15 minutes from Versailles, it is a favorite family outing. The 8-hectare park is divided into 6 zones representing the 6 regions of France (the north and Île-de-France, the east, the west, the center, the southwest and the southeast), and nearly 11 attractions await you.

- The park's car park is paid, so allow €5. Tickets bought online a few days ahead are cheaper than at the ticket office (from €22 versus €29); the reduced rate of €27 (seniors 60+, students, job seekers) is available at the ticket office with proof.
- For an extra 3 euros per child, you can host a birthday party at the park. This package includes free admission to the park, access to the attractions, a treasure hunt, and a birthday snack with drinks, cake, and candy. The nearby Château de Versailles makes it easy to extend the day.
How to get there
Driving is the easiest way to reach France Miniature: take the A13 toward Versailles/Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines from Paris, then the A12 toward Dreux, Élancourt exit; or take the A86 toward Versailles from Créteil, then the N12 toward Dreux, Trappes/Élancourt exit. From Paris, take the train from Gare Montparnasse (line N) or La Défense (line U) to La Verrière station, then bus 5120 (daily) or 5122 and 5125 (weekdays) to the France Miniature stop.
