Park opening hours at a glance

| Period (2026) | Usual opening | Usual closing | Good to know |
|---|---|---|---|
| October (Halloween) | 9:00 or 9:30 am | 8:30 to 10:00 pm | Disney Halloween Festival from 26 September to 1 November |
| November | 9:00 or 9:30 am | 8:30 to 10:00 pm | Quiet weekdays, sometimes earlier closing |
| Christmas (mid-November to early January) | 9:00 am | Often 10:00 pm, sometimes 8:30 pm | Christmas decorations, heavy crowds during school holidays |
| Extra Magic Time | About 8:00 to 8:30 am | Until opening | For Disney hotel guests and Pass Gold holders only |
The hours above are the ranges we saw in October 2026, day by day; they vary by park and by date. The most reliable source is the official Disneyland Paris calendar or app, checked the day before your visit. The French All Saints holidays (17 October to 2 November 2026) and Christmas holidays (19 December 2026 to 3 January 2027) are when the parks most often sell out.
Extra Magic Time: what it is really worth
Guests of a Disney hotel or Les Villages Nature Paris, and Disneyland Pass Gold holders, enter one or both parks before public opening, with a selection of rides available. It is useful for riding two or three headline attractions without a queue, but the benefit is not guaranteed every day: hours, length and parks are published in advance and can change. Do not choose a hotel on this alone, and do not count on it if you stay at a partner hotel.
1 day or 2 days?
- 1 day, 1 park: enough for the main rides of one park, the parade and the evening show. Pick Disneyland Park if you are new to Disney, Disney Adventure World if you mainly want the Frozen and recent-film attractions.
- 1 day, 2 parks: possible, but very tight. You walk between the parks in a few minutes, but queues eat the day.
- 2 days: the best compromise for most families. One day per park, with time for lunch, a break and the shows.
- 3 days or more: for enthusiasts or for those who want to do everything slowly. A multi-day ticket then becomes more interesting, see our comparison of Disneyland Paris tickets.
Our Disneyland Paris page covers prices, rides and average hours.
Getting from Paris to Disneyland
- RER A, towards Marne-la-Vallée – Chessy (terminus), from Auber, Châtelet – Les Halles or Nation: about 40 minutes, with the station a few minutes' walk from the entrances. Tickets and zones are explained in our guide to the Paris metro and RER, and a visitor pass can cover the trip, see Navigo or Paris Visite.
- Free shuttles from Marne-la-Vallée – Chessy station to Disney and partner hotels: roughly every 15 to 20 minutes, from about 6:30 am to 11:45 pm (source: official site, October 2026).
- Paid Magical Shuttle from the airports, see Disneyland Paris sold out for the price and details.
- By car: A4 motorway, exit Parc Disneyland.
Where to stay: Disney hotels, partner hotels, Val d'Europe or Paris
| Option | Price level | Strength | Limit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Disney hotel | €€€ to €€€€ | Extra Magic Time, free shuttle, themed atmosphere | Most expensive, in demand during holidays |
| Disney partner hotel | €€ to €€€ | Free shuttle, often cheaper | Sometimes a bus change at Chessy |
| Val d'Europe, Serris, Marne-la-Vallée | €€ to €€€ | RER A, shopping centre, restaurants | No Extra Magic Time |
| Central Paris | €€ to €€€€ | Wider choice, Paris in the evening | 40 minutes of RER each way |
Disney hotels: if the budget allows and you travel as a family, this is the simplest. You get Extra Magic Time and the shuttles; browse hotels in Marne-la-Vallée to compare, since some hotels near the parks are not Disney hotels.
Partner hotels: several hotels around the parks, including some in the Val d'Europe area, are linked by free shuttles. You often save on price and stay close, but Extra Magic Time is not included.
Val d'Europe and Serris: the Serris and Val d'Europe area, one or two RER A stops away, has a shopping centre, restaurants and aparthotels, handy for a family that cooks a little.
Central Paris: if Disneyland is just one stop on your trip, it is better to stay in Paris and take the RER A. Our guide on where to stay in Paris explains the districts, and the RER A leaves from Châtelet – Les Halles or Auber. To combine city and park, budget for the travel time morning and evening.
A booking tip: reserve a hotel near Disneyland Paris as soon as your dates are fixed, because the closest hotels fill up before holidays. Prices here are relative levels, never rates: check the price for your date.
