Beside the Tuileries gardens, near Place de la Concorde, the Jeu de Paume presents exhibitions of photography and moving images. Its programme brings the history of images together with contemporary art. Visit for a particular exhibition, then continue your walk in the gardens. As of 29 September 2026, the exhibitions are closed for installation; reopening is announced for 20 October 2026.

The Tuileries building
Opened in 1862 for the game of real tennis, this sports hall later became an exhibition gallery. Look at its pediment and columns before entering. Its history also recalls Rose Valland’s work identifying artworks looted during the Occupation.

Check when exhibition installation periods end before booking. Standard exhibition admission is €14 and reduced admission €9.50; entry is free for under-18s (prices checked in September 2026). Cinema screenings require separate tickets.
