Hôtel de la Marine: Tickets, Opening Hours, Intendants' Apartments and Loggia
The Hôtel de la Marine, at 2 place de la Concorde, is one of the two twin palaces designed by Ange-Jacques Gabriel in the 18th century. Once the Garde-Meuble de la Couronne and then the seat of the Navy ministry, it has been open to the public since 2021. You can visit the intendants' apartments, the state rooms, the loggia over the square and the galleries of the Al Thani Collection. For the details of each route, see our visitor guide.
Highlights

The intendants' apartments
A suite of rooms from the 1770s has regained its decor and furniture: dining room, studies, library and the bedroom of the intendant and his wife. The visit shows the life of a senior state official before the Revolution.

The Salon des Amiraux
On the square side, the reception rooms were redecorated in the 19th century by the Navy ministry, with gilding, chandeliers and parquet floors. They are still used for concerts and evening events.

The loggia over the Concorde
The great colonnade running along the façade overlooks the Place de la Concorde, the obelisk and the Tuileries; it is one of the few elevated viewpoints open to the public.
