Jardin d'Acclimatation: Prices, Opening Hours and Rides for Children in Paris

Updated on October 7, 2026

The Jardin d'Acclimatation is an amusement park in the Bois de Boulogne (16th arrondissement), open every day of the year. Created in 1860, it offers more than 45 rides and activities aimed mainly at children, a farm with animals and many restaurants. The simple entry gives access to the park only, while the 1-day Pass includes the rides. Les Sablons metro station (line 1) is only a few minutes' walk away. Our article explains how to plan a family visit.

Highlights

The Enchanted River

The Enchanted River

This boat ride through small staged scenes is one of the oldest attractions in the park. Its slow pace suits the youngest children.

The rides

The rides

The park favours gentle rides for children rather than thrills. The carousel is one of the classics of a first outing.

The glass building designed by Frank Gehry stands a few steps from the park. Parents can combine a visit to the museum with a half-day for the children.

Tips

There are three options: the simple entry (park only), the dated 1-day Pass, whose price varies with the season and date, and the flexible 1-day Pass, valid for one year and sold online only. Book online in advance, preferably on a weekday outside school holidays. Entry is free for children under 80 cm (only the Petit Carrousel is open to them, with an adult) and for people with a disability and their companion. Children aged 12 and over may visit alone; only guide dogs are admitted. Check current prices on the official site. To plan the day, read our guide to the Jardin d'Acclimatation.
