Not to miss
For CDG, airport trains first stop at "Aéroport Charles de Gaulle 1" (Roissypôle: terminal 3 and the CDGVAL shuttle to terminal 1) then at the terminus "Aéroport Charles de Gaulle 2 – TGV" (terminals 2). For Orly, line 14 is simpler. Luxembourg serves the Luxembourg Garden and the Latin Quarter; Denfert-Rochereau the Catacombs.
Hours and tickets
RER trains run roughly from 5:00 to midnight, with differences by line and branch (last trains often between 23:30 and 0:30): check the branch timetable on ratp.fr or iledefrance-mobilites.fr. Inside Paris the 2.55 EUR Métro-Train-RER ticket is enough. For an airport, Disneyland, Versailles, Chantilly or a distant station you need an origin-destination ticket at the zone fare: check today's price on iledefrance-mobilites.fr and keep the ticket until you exit.
Works and disruptions in 2026
The RER B modernisation works (5 January to 30 August 2026 per RATP) are over; underground switches were replaced between Gare du Nord and Bourg-la-Reine in late July. I found no closure announced for November 2026: check weekends on ratp.fr/travaux and iledefrance-mobilites.fr.
Tips
This is the line most associated with bag and phone theft (Gare du Nord, Châtelet, CDG): keep your suitcases in sight and your bag in front. The airport ticket is a specific fare above the standard ticket (around 13 EUR in 2025; confirm today's price on ratp.fr or at the machines).
